Serbia's retail sales down by real 5.7% y/y in July.

Serbia's retail sales fell by a real 5.7% on the year in July after edging down a real 0.3% in June, the statistics office said in a statement. In nominal prices, July retail sales were 1.1% higher on the year and up 4.2% on the month. On a monthly basis, July retail sales fell a real 4.2% after sliding a real 1.8% in June. In the first seven months of 2012, retail sales shrank 1.8% on the year in real terms but rose by a nominal 4.3%. Last year sales shrank by a real 16.7% after falling 0.9% in 2010.
