Serbia's Jan-May 2011 budget deficit at RSD 54.1bn.

Serbia's budget deficit stood at RSD 54.1bn in Jan-May 2011, with revenues of RSD 273.7bn and expenditures of RSD 327.8bn, the country's finance ministry informed. VAT payments and excise payments were the largest contributors to budget revenues with RSD 135.3bn and RSD 53.9bn, respectively. Spending on salaries stood at RSD 81.6bn and social contributions amounted to RSD 110.5bn. In May alone, budget revenues were RSD 60bn, of which RSD 53.5bn were tax revenues. Serbia's 2011 budget envisages overall revenues of RSD 726.4bn, expenditures of RSD 846.9bn and a deficit of RSD 120.5bn.
