Sales revenues of Macedonian steel mill Makstil down 24.1% in 2012.

The sales revenues of leading Macedonian steel mill Makstil dropped by 24.1% to MKD 5.18bn (EUR 84.2mn) last year, according to unconsolidated financial statements published on the website of the Macedonian Stock Exchange. Revenues from the domestic market decreased by 7.4% to MKD 1.14bn in 2012, and revenues from foreign markets contracted by 27.8% to MKD 4.04bn. Nevertheless, the company managed to achieve an operating profit of MKD 52.5mn last year, reversing an operating loss of MKD 75.9mn in 2011. Makstils net profit declined by 30.6% to MKD 4.3mn in 2012. At end-2012, the companys total assets stood at MKD 5.65bn (down 6%), and the equity amounted to MKD 1.17bn (up 0.4%). Makstil is a member of Duferco Group.
