Russia's Rosneft is reportedly going to submit a bid for Romanian petrochemical plant Oltchim, Evenimentul Zilei daily reported on Thursday, Sept 20, when the bidding deadline in the company's privatisation tender expires. Also on Thursday, the government is expected to announce its further actions in the privatisation procedure of the large chemical company. Russia's Gazprom is also expected to submit a bid since it has asked earlier this week the Romanian government for a tender deadline extention. Two local investors and Oltchim's minority shareholder, Germany's PCC, have submitted valid bids earlier this week.
