Romanias external debt up 0.8% y/y at end-June 2012.

Romanias end-June total external debt increased 0.8% y/y to EUR 99.04bn, according to central bank data. Medium- and long-term external debt rose 3.4% y/y to EUR 77.77bn at end-June, while short-term external debt dropped 7.7% y/y to EUR 21.27bn. The central bank reports that the medium- and long-term external debt service ratio (debt service to exports) was 26.8% in H1 2012, down from 28.3% in 2011.
