Romanian Green Group to invest EUR 5-7mn in waste recycling center in Serbia.

Romanian Green Group will invest EUR 5-7mn in the construction of an electronic and electric equipment waste recycling center in Serbia, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) said in a statement on its website. The project is the biggest investment in the local recycling industry since 2000. It is expected to be completed within 18 months. According to Sinisa Mitrovic, coordinator of the recycling industry council, Serbia generates around 80,000 tonnes of electronic waste a year, while the recycling capacity stands at up to 3.5% of this volume.
