Rebuilding and construction of new roads under way on 1255 km in Poland.

Road construction and rebuilding is currently under way on the length of 1255 kilometers. Works have been started on 620 km of motorways, 430 km of express roads, 130 km ring roads, the infrastructure ministry has said in a communiqu. The reconstruction of 75 km existing roads is in the pipeline. Currently, 28 sections of motorways are being building, and 33 other ones of express roads and 18 ring roads. Between Nov 16, 2007 and Sep 14, 2010 the construction agreement for 1653 km domestic roads was signed, including 702 km of motorways and 951 km express roads, motorways and big roads reconstructions, the release reads. This year, 38 agreements were signed for new investments, and they value amounted to PLN 17.7bn (EUR 4.5bn) . As of Nov 16, 2007 (i.e. from the beginning of the current coalition's rule) 940 km of domestic roads were completed, including 180 km of motorways, 315 of express roads, 95 km of ring roads and 350 km roads after reconstructions, the release also said.
