Prices for dwelling area in Kazakhstan grow 0.1% m/m in September.

Prices in newly constructed building increased by mere 0.1% m/m to KZT 139,412 per 1m2 (USD 944) in September. In y/y terms, prices increased by 1% and by 1.2% ytd. Prices on the secondary market rose 0.3% m/m, 1.3% y/y and 1.9% ytd to KZT 102,724 per 1 m2. Significantly, sale of apartments in newly constructed buildings increased by 1.2% ytd in September and on the secondary market, sale grew by 1.9% ytd. Worth noting that in 2008 and 2009 the volume of sale was shrinking. Thus, we consider that the real estate market in Kazakhstan is slowly digging out from the crisis.
