Electricity trading company Slovakia Energy planned to cut prices by 15% in 2010, the company announced. It added that its total number of clients has increased to 30,000 but currently only one-third of them were actually serviced. Meanwhile, spokesman for the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO), Miroslav Luptak informed that the office had closed its inspection of the utility and would launch administrative proceedings against it. He explained that the conclusion of the inspection was that Slovakia Energy had violated the law by providing services without submitting its prices for a regulatory approval. Luptak, however, pointed out that the proceedings would not affect supplies of electricity to the companys clients or their quality. Earlier, the spokesman for Slovakia Energy, Jiri Pisarik, had explained that the breaching of the law was on account of an administrative mistake and also assured that it would not cause problems for clients.
