Poland's banking sector posts 37% y/y rise in 7-month net profit.

The seven-month net profit of Poland's banking sector surged by 37% y/y to PLN 9.06bn, the financial market regulator KNF reported. The net interest earnings grew by 13.9% y/y to PLN 19.8bn. The net provisioning narrowed by 32.5% on the year to PLN 4.3bn in January-July. The total banking system assets increased by 7.4% ytd to PLN 1.16tn.
