By bne IntelliNews January 13, 2012
Some 6,900 new vehicles were sold in Macedonia last year, Kanal 5 TV broadcaster reported. The 2011 figure compares with the record 18,000 new cars sold in 2008. Car importers explain the low sales last year with the economic crisis and large imports of used vehicles. According to data of the customs administration, some 34,326 used cars were imported in 2011. The expectations are that 2012 will be similar to 2011, while an improvement is expected in 2013.
