Ukrainians are tired of political chaos. A new poll found that 78.8% Ukrainians don't support the state or its work, of which half those polled “completely don't support” it. The number of Ukrainians in the poll that “fully” support the government was a mere 1.7%. As a result nearly two-thirds said in another poll that they want early elections.

The poll was conducted by the Sofia Center of Sociological Research released on March 21 and found 1.7% said they “fully support the work of the president,” with another 14.2% “somewhat supporting” Petro Poroschenko’s work.

But the vast majority were against, either “basically do not support” (28.6%) or “completely do not support” (50.2%) the government. Another 5.3% found it difficult to answer the question.

The survey was conducted from March 9 to March 16 in all regions of Ukraine under government control. Some 2,010 people over the age of 18 took part. The poll’s margin of error does not exceed 2.2%.

That is going to have political consequences. Poroshenko has already seen his ratings in election polls crash in the last month and is currently lying in fourth place if elections were held tomorrow.

That result was reinforced by another poll that found just under two-thirds (60%) of Ukrainians want early elections, according to the Sofia Center's Oleksandr Levtsun, reported Interfax.

"Some 61% are positive about the proposal to dissolve the current Verkhovna Rada and hold extraordinary parliamentary elections. In December of last year there were 57.1% of such respondents," Levtsun said, presenting the results of the poll "Public request for the renewal of power" at a press conference in the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Friday.

According to the research, 26.6% of respondents do not support the holding of early parliamentary elections, and 12.4% are undecided.
