Montenegro's industrial output continues to decline in July 2012.

The industrial sector in Montenegro fell by 1.8% y/y in July, shrinking by 19.5% y/y in June, statistics office data showed. The lower output in July was a result of 14.2% y/y decrease in the manufacturing output and a 11.6% y/y decline in mining production. The only sector, which expanded in July was the utilities sector, posting an annual 31.7% increase. In Jan-Jul, total industrial output saw a 6.7% annual decline due to very weak results in the first three months for utilities and contracting mining sector in the last five months. The mining and utilities sectors dropped by 23.3% y/y and 17.4% y/y, respectively, while the manufacturing sector expanded by 1.3% y/y.
