There are no direct risks to the financial sector stability in Montenegro, the central bank said in a press release. The overall risk to the system has been assessed as moderate. The NPL ratio decreased to 15% of total loans in 2011. The banking sector has thus continued stabilising and ended the year with EUR 9.5mn profit, the bank confirmed, compared to EUR 81.7mn loss registered at end-2010. The banking sector ended the first three quarters of 2011 with a loss of EUR 22.6mn on high provisions. The loss expanded from EUR 9.3mn in H1 but decreased from EUR 92.9mn in Jan-Sep 2010.
