Montenegro's CPI slows to 2.8% y/y in December 2011.

The consumer inflation, as measured by CPI, continued decelerating to 2.8% in the last month of 2011, the statistical office (Monstat) informed. The downward trend persisted during the whole fourth quarter of the year. Alcohol and tobacco prices increased the most - by 26.3% y/y, followed by health services and transport, which rose by 15% y/y and 7.7% y/y, respectively. In monthly terms, CPI inched down 0.2% in December. The cumulative inflation for the year remained unchanged from a month ago at 3.1% y/y.
