Minerals output in Kazakhstan mixed in Jan-Nov.

Minerals output in Kazakhstan was mixed in Jan-Nov, according to the State Stat Agency. Production of refined copper increased by 7.9% y/y to 333,620 tonnes. Refined zinc output declined by 0,2% y/y to 292,314 tonnes. Similarly, production of zinc concentrate went down by 10.2% y/y to 338,900 tonnes. Output of alumina and unwrought aluminium decreased by 8.7% y/y to 1.6mn tonnes. Bauxite production went down by 3.1% y/y to 4.85mn tonnes while ferroalloys increased by 2.9% y/y to 1.58mn tonnes. Production of crude steel slumped 21% y/y to 3.552mn tonnes and lead concentrate went down by 2.5% y/y to 34,800 tonnes. The biggest drop was reported in refined lead production by 22.5% y/y to 80,831 tonnes.
