McDonalds to open first drive-thru restaurant in Bosnia in Dec 2011.

US fast food chain McDonalds will open its first drive-thru restaurant in Bosnia in December 2011, FENA news agency reported. The 500-sq m restaurant will open in Sarajevos Nedzarici district and will employ a staff of 70, said Adi Hadziarapovic, director marketing and communications of Gliese 581, a franchise partner of McDonalds. McDonald's is Europes leading food service retailer with approximately 7,000 restaurants in 39 countries serving over 13.6mn customers a day, according to information on the companys website. Over 70% of McDonald's restaurants in Europe are owned and operated by independent businessmen.
