Max Petroleum starts drilling in Kazakhstan.

Max Petroleum said that it had started drilling the fourth well of its 12 post-salt exploration prospects in Kazakhstan. The company had earlier abandoned 2 wells in the series. The latest well KZI-1 is located on the Kyzylzhar I prospect in block E. Max Petroleum said in April that id would abandon the third exploration well, KZN-2, in the series if no oil is found. Max Petroleum is a small oil exploration company.
