Macedonias ruling party VMRO-DPMNE leads in two opinion polls.

Macedonia's ruling party VMRO-DPMNE leads in the polls conducted by the Center for Research and Analysis Macedonia (CRA) and the Pavel Satev Institute, state news agency MIA reported. In both polls, VMRO-DPMNE is followed by opposition SDSM, the ethnic Albanian ruling coalition partner DUI and the opposition ethnic Albanian party DPA. Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski is the most popular politician in Macedonia, according to both surveys, which also made rankings of the countrys top four politicians. Nikola Gruevski is followed by SDSM leader Branko Crvenkovski, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and DPA leader Menduh Thaci. The poll by the Center for Research and Analysis Macedonia was conducted on a sample of 1,515 respondents over the period May 23-29. The telephone survey by Pavel Satev Institute was conducted on a sample of 1,500 respondents over the period May 30-June 1.
