Macedonias average net monthly wage down by real 2.4% y/y in November 2011.

Macedonias average net monthly wage dropped by real 2.4% y/y to MKD 20,834 (EUR 339) in November, a wider decrease than 1.7% y/y in October, the statistics office reported. The wider drop in real terms in November was caused by a deceleration in nominal wage growth, as well as acceleration in inflation. In nominal terms, the average net wage has risen by 1% on the year in November, slowing down from annual 1.5% in October. The average gross monthly wage dropped by real 2.6% on the year to MKD 30,591 in November, after decreasing by real 1.9% y/y in October. In Jan-Nov, the average net wage fell by real 2.3% y/y to MKD 20,796.
