Macedonias agricultural output price index down 3.9% y/y in February 2012.

The total output price index in agriculture dropped by 3.9% y/y in Feb, reversing positive annual growth of 7.5% in Jan, according to data of the statistics office. The crop production price index decreased by 6.5% y/y, reversing a 6.7% y/y increase in Jan. The livestock production price index grew by 8.6% y/y, decelerating from 11.1% y/y in Jan. The annual growth of the price index for inputs used in agriculture decelerated from 3.4% in Jan to 1.4% in Feb. The subindex for goods currently consumed in the sector increased by 1.4% on the year, slowing down from 3.4% y/y in the previous month. The annual growth of the price index for investment in agriculture also decelerated.
