Macedonias 2013 tobacco crop expected to exceed 30,000 tonnes.

Macedonias tobacco crop is expected to increase by 20% to over 30,000 tonnes in 2013, Utrinski vesnik daily reported quoting Danco Mileski, president of the countrys tobacco association. The state subsidy for the 2012 crop was set at MKD 60 (approximately EUR 1) per kg of produced and sold tobacco. Mileski adds that the areas sown with tobacco will increase this year due to increased interest on the part of the farmers.
