Macedonian Railways-Transport say losses decreased in H1.

Oliver Derkoski, director of Macedonian Railways-Transport, said that the companys financial performance was far better in the first half of this year, compared to the last years, and the losses have been reduced. Derkoski pointed out the important role of the state, which took over most of the companys old obligations as envisaged by the law on railways transformation. The railway company also said that it must restructure its current personnel and upgrade its fleet. Meanwhile, the company is nearing the completion of a project funded by the World Bank, for the modernisation of six locomotives and the procurement of 36 freight cars is ongoing.
