Macedonian farmers get EUR 6mn in subsidies in Jan.

Macedonian farmers got some MKD 350mn (EUR 6mn) from last years subsidies in January, Dnevnik daily reported. The biggest portion of MKD 278.7mn was paid for farm maintenance, while MKD 73mn were set aside for plant growing. The regions that benefited the most from the subsidies were Pelagonija, Strumica and Stip. The government planned EUR 100mn worth of agriculture subsidies in 2010 and EUR 115mn in 2011.
