Macedonian bourse market capitalisation down 2.9% m/m in November.

The market capitalisation of shares listed on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) declined by 2.89% on the month to MKD 118.99bn (EUR 1.93bn) at the end of November after dropping a monthly 0.54% at the end of October, MSE said in a statement. The market capitalisation of listed debt instruments, however, increased by a monthly 0.64% to MKD 8.46bn at end-November. The equity indices MBI10 and MBID both dropped in November, by 7.03% and 3.73%, respectively. The MSE's November turnover surged 2.5 times on the month to MKD 805.8mn. Regular trading turnover rose by 8.14% m/m to MKD 241.6mn in November. Block transactions turnover soared 9.6 times m/m to MKD 433.2mn, while the turnover at the bourses auction trading segment jumped 2.4 times on the month to MKD 127.8mn in November. MSE also reported MKD 3.2mn in turnover of public offerings of securities in November. The total number of transactions on the bourse dropped by 5.27% m/m to 1,815 in November. Foreign investors accounted for 32.18% of the total turnover on the buy side and for 47% of the total turnover on the sell side.
