Macedonian, Albanian investors launch construction of EUR 80mn shopping mall.

Macedonias Fashion Group and Albanias Balfin Group have launched the construction of a EUR 80mn shopping mall in Skopjes municipality Karpos, a release on the cabinets website informs. The project is supported by the EBRD. The start of the construction was attended by PM Nikola Gruevski, among others. The shopping centre is named Skopje City Mall, and will have about 150 stores and 1,300 parking spaces. The creation of over 2,000 jobs is being planned. The construction will be carried out mainly by Macedonian contractors. The mall is expected to open in H2 2012.
