Macedonia's April 2011 average net wage down by real 4.3% y/y.

Macedonia's average monthly net wage has decreased by a real 4.3% y/y to MKD 20,519 (EUR 334) in April, a wider drop than the 3.8% y/y in March, the statistics office reported. In nominal terms, the annual net wage growth decelerated from 1.2% in March to 0.3% in April. The net wage has dropped by a real 2.7% y/y to MKD 20,640 in Jan-Apr. The average gross wage decreased by a real 4.3% y/y to MKD 30,172 in April, a wider drop than the 4.1% y/y in March. In April, 2% of the employees in the country received no payments.
