According to the report by European Statistical Agency Eurostat, in October Latvian domestic retail trade declined by 29.1% y/y. This was the fastest retail trade decline in EU in the reporting month. Notably, Baltic States were among countries with the highest retail trade decline in EU (down by 24.7% in Lithuania and down by 18.6% in Estonia ). To remind, Latvia posted either the fastest or second fastest growing retail trade in EU throughout 2007, while for the past twelve consecutive months Latvia posts the steepest retail trade decline.
