LV: Latviajs Gaze net profit up by 35% y/y in 2010.

According to companys announcement, Latvijas Gaze (Latvian Gas) reported a net profit of LVL 26.5mn (EUR 37.7mn) in 2010. This made a 35% y/y increase. Net profit increase was attributed to increased demand for natural gas transportation and storage services by foreign countries and growth in domestic sales of natural gas. LG sales went up by 7.2% y/y to LVL 353mn. Latvijas G?ze is granted state monopoly on export, storage and sales of natural gas.
