LV: Ergo Baltic posts EUR 3.2mn in H1.

Insurance group Ergo earned a net profit of EUR 3.2mn in H1/10 in all of the three Baltic States, the company announced. In the reporting period the company underwritten more than EUR 64mn worth of premiums, with turnover down by 13% y/y. Ergo is the most active in non-life risk insurance (EUR 48.5mn of premiums), followed by life insurance (EUR 10.8mn). In Latvia company's premiums for the reporting period in the respective segments amounted to EUR 7.4mn and EUR 6.2mn.
