LUKoil to abandon 2 projects on Kazakhstans Caspian shelf.

LUKoil plans to abandon 2 of 3 geological exploration projects in Caspian offshore of Kazakhstan. The company intends to leave Atash and Tyub-Karagan projects as its estimation and expectation hadnt proved out and these projects were in the closure stage. At the same time, a process of section of drilling contractor is under way in Jambai South-South Zaburnuke. The process was delayed due to adverse working conditions and because of lack of required drilling equipment. LUKoil is the main Russian investor in Kazakhstan.
