Global money transfer company Western Union announced that it has signed an LOI with the Ministry of Economy to establish a global service centre in Lithuania . The company plans to open a service centre in 2010 and create up to 200 workplaces in the first three years of operations. Lithuanian government announced that it would provide LTL 5mn (EUR 1.4mn) from the EU funds for the company's employees' trainings, and LTL 1.5mn as a direct subsidy.
