LT: Malsena acquires Latvian flour manufacturer Rigas Dzirnavieks.

Lithuanian flour manufacturer Malsena announced that it has acquired Latvian flour manufacturer Rigas Dzirnavieks. The company indicates that with the acquisition it will become the largest flour manufacturer in the Baltic States with annual revenues exceeding LTL 240mn (EUR 69.5mn). Gintautas Migonis, general manager of Malsena, indicated that the acquisition will strengthen both companies and allow to increase high-value added products assortment and improve competitiveness in the exports markets. Rigas Dzirnavieks was owned by Swedish group Lantmannen, which indicated that the company wants to refocus to the regions where it has stronger presence.
