LT: Lithuanian retail sales grows fastest in EU in December.

Lithuanian retail sales showed the highest growth rate in December among all the 27 EU member states, Eurostat announced. Lithuanian retail sales grew by 13% y/y in December. Latvian retail sales grew by 7.1% y/y in December, which put Latvia in the second place. The UK retail sales growth stood at 6.3% y/y in December and ranked 3rd according to growth. Estonia stood 4th, with growth rate of 6.1% y/y. Across the EU retail sales increased by 0.3% y/y in December on average. In m/m terms Lithuanian retail sales declined by 1.3% m/m, Latvian declined by 2.0% m/m, and Estonian increased by 0.5% m/m.
