Lithuanian foreign trade deficit amounted to LTL 1.0bn (EUR 0.3bn) in March, Statistics Lithuania indicated. Exports amounted to LTL 6.3bn in March, up by 11.2% m/m and up by 11.9% y/y. Imports stood at LTL 7.3bn in March, up by 8.1% m/m, and growing by 11.6% y/y. In Q1 exports grew by 11.9% y/y to LTL 17.7bn, while imports increased by 13.3% y/y to LTL 20.4bn. The EU countries accounted for 65.4% of all exports in Q1, while the EU countries accounted for 52.3% of all imports. Biggest exports partner was Russia accounting for 17.1% of total exports, followed by Latvia with 10.1%, and the UK accounting for 8.6%. Biggest imports partners were Russia accounting for 36.8% of total imports, followed by Germany at 8.9%, and Poland at 8.9% of total imports. |
