Leier Hungary to open ninth plant by end-2011.

The Hungarian unit of Austrian construction materials producer Leier International plans to expand its activity through a brownfield investment in a ninth plant in the country, Hungary AM reported, quoting company's manager Andor Komlos. The plant will be situated in Gyor, where the headquarters of the Hungarian subsidiary are currently being based. The headcount at the new facility will be 20 people. Leier has spent HUF 500mn (EUR 1.8mn) on a new production line in the Debrecen plant this year, while the total amount, invested in the existing eight plans in Hungary over the past ten years stood at HUF 30bn, the managing director also noted.
