Lavazza Coffee Shops to open Espression cafes in Bulgaria.

Italian Lavazza Coffee Shops S.p.A. announced plans to open coffee shops under the Espression trade mark in the country, Marco Lavazza, development manager of Lavazza Group told business and financial newswire Investor.bg in an interview. The Espression brand includes more than 10 cafeterias in Italy, Germany, Spain, the UK, Romania and the US. Earlier in the week, Lavazza Coffee Shops signed a contract for the acquisition of the full stake in local coffee shop chain Onda Coffee Break. Onda Coffee Break runs 11 coffee shops in the country. The price of the acquisition and the investment value in the next three years are estimated at a total of about EUR 6mn. Lavazza claims a market share of 2.6% in terms of volume and 7.9% in terms of value in Bulgaria.
