Kenyan insurer Jubilee Holdings eyes 15 new markets in Africa.

Kenya's Jubilee Holdings is looking to rapidly expand its insurance business in Africa by setting foot in 15 new markets, Capital FM reported. The company is looking to move into the West, Central and Southern Africa regions within the next five years, Jubilee Insurance Kenya chief executive, Patrick Tumbo, was quoted as saying. Some of the countries the firm would like to enter are Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Tumbo noted. Jubilee Holdings generated gross written premiums of KES 9.1bn in 2009. The company is currently operating in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Mauritius.
