Kazatomprom to raise its share in uranium reserves in Kazakhstan.

Kazatomprom will raise its share in the countrys uranium reserves to 52% by the end of this year, the company chairman Vladimir Shkolnik has informed. The share will be increased by the purchase of shares in joint ventures as well as enhancing exploration works. Shkolnik also informed that the companys share in all uranium deposits stood at 41.8% as of the end of 2009. He also declared that Kazatomprom has no intention and do not sell uranium to Iran. Kazakhstan is the largest uranium producer in the world. The country plans to hold international nuclear fuel bank on its territory to raise its position on the world arena. The decision on the nuclear fuel bank will be taken by the end of this year.
