Kazakhstan to double companies leasing portfolio by 2014.

According to the JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan, the country plans to double the total leasing portfolio of the Kazakh companies by 2014 by means of introducing new projects. As of early 2011, the total leasing portfolio of Kazakh companies amounted to USD 1.24bn. In 2010-2011, the average annual amount of new leasing deals in Kazakhstan totaled USD 400mn. Analysts believe that in the next few years the amount of new projects in the leasing market would double and reach USD 700mn per annum. About 30% of new projects will account for leasing under the programme Productivity 2020.
