Kazakhstan to develop pharmaceutical industry.

Kazakh government plans to establish 20 pharmaceutical enterprises and modernize existing entities in order to meet 50% of the domestic needs with the local productions by 2014, according to Industrialization Map presented by the Health Ministry. The government plans to implement 17 new projects within next 3 years. There are also plans to introduce Good Manufacturing Practice standards within pharmaceutical companies. The government also claims that it created conditions for replacing imported pharmaceuticals and medical products with domestic ones. The development plans for the pharmaceutical industry were initiated in 2010.
