Kazakhstan threatens speculators on land lease to China with prosecution.

Kazakhstan will prosecute people speculating on land lease to china. The prosecutor office said in a statement that people found speculating on the topic will be prosecuted to the full extent possible under the Kazakh Constitution and corresponding law. To remind you, last December, Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev stated that China is interested in renting 1mn ha of land in Kazakhstan for farming purposes. This announcement led to protests of opposition and sparked rumours about possible sale of land to China .
