Kazakhstan is still considering opening the border with Kyrgyzstan. Presently, the Kazakh authorities are studying the possibility of opening the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border for the movement of transit goods, the Foreign Ministry spokesman has informed. It is likely that a ,,soft" regime for movement of transit goods will be introduced. To remind you, Kazakhstan closed border with Kyrgyzstan in early April after a revolt in Bishkek. It seems that Kazakhstan still perceives Kyrgyzstan as unstable and is not eager to normalize the border crossing regime.
