Kazakhstan revises upward its GDP forecast.

Kazakh authorities revised upwards its GDP forecast. Presently, the government expects GDP to increase by 4-5% y/y this year, economy minister Zhanar Aitzhanova has stated. The original forecast was 3.1%. At the same time, the IMF expects this years GDP growth in Kazakhstan at 4.5-5% thus the governments forecast very matches with this international institution projection. In 2010, GDP growth is preliminary estimated by the government at 7% y/y. Inflation is expected to be in range of 4-6% in 2011. Last year, inflation made up 7.8% y/y.
