Kazakhstan reduces oil production by 1.7% y/y in Jan-Sep.

In Jan-Sep, oil production declined by 1.7% y/y to 58.7mn tonnes, the State Statistics Agency has reported. In addition, production of crude oil amounted to 49.155mn tonnes (down 2.4%), condensate - 9.529mn tonnes (2.5%). Natural gas production rose by 2.4% y/y to 30.1bn m3 in Jan-Sep. In addition, Kazakhstan produced 2.138mn tonnes of gasoline (including aviation), up by 6.5% y/y. Production of kerosene increased by 5.2% y/y to 310thsd tonnes. Output of diesel fuel declined by 3.6% y/y to 3.5mn tonnes. Fuel oil production went down by 8.8% y/y to 2.9mn tonnes of fuel oil. In Jan-Sep, Kazakhstan produced 85.7mn tonnes of coal, which is 2.8% more than in the same period of 2011. According to authorities, the production of coal and lignite totaled 82mn tonnes (3%), coal concentrate - 3.7mn tonnes (down 2.3%).
