Kazakhstan proposes new OSCE strategy for Afghanistan.

Kazakhstan, which currently holds the OSCE rotating chairmanship, proposed developing a new OSCT strategy toward Afghanistan. Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev has stated that ,,it is necessary to step up international efforts toward Afghanistan's rehabilitation". He also noted that the initiatives that propose a gradual transfer of responsibility for security in Afghanistan to local authorities were important. Moreover, Kazakhstan also proposed to set up a trans-Eurasian security system as well as program of rehabilitation of Kyrgyzstan.
