Kazakhstan plans to raise oil production to 90mn tons in 2015.

Kazakhstan plans to raise oil production to 90mn tons in 2015, oil and gas minister Sauat Mynbayev has said. In 2020, it is planned to reach production of 120mn tons. Last year, the country produced 80.1mn tons of oil and this year intends to extract 80mn tons (after revision downward the projection in February). The minister also stated that Kazakhstans recoverable reserves stood at 5.3bn tons and they will last for up to 40-45 years.
