Kazakhstan plans to raise oil and gas condensate output to 95mn tones (1.9mn barrels per day) in 2015, according to strategic plan for 2011-2015 published by the Oil and Gas Ministry. In 2011, oil and gas condensate production is expected to reach 81mn tones, in 2012 and 2013-83mn tones and in 2014-85mn tones. The growth will be based on development of the Tengiz and Karachaganak fields, the document says. According to the plan, production at Kashagan field is expected in 2012 but commercial production might be pushed back to October 2013. Oil exports are projected to grow by 18% within 5 years. This year, exports are expected at 72mn tones, in 2012-2013-74mn tones, 70mn tones in 2014 and 84mn tones in 2015. Moreover, oil refining is seen to increase by 27.7% from 13.7mn tones in 2010 to 17.5mn tones in 2015. This is in line with the government's strategy aimed at modernization of the refineries. Gas exports are projected to increase from 9.1bcm to 9.2bcm in 2011, 10.7bcm in 2012, 15.9bcm in 2013 and then to fall to 14.6bcm in 2014 and 12bcm in 2015.
