Kazakhstan plans to borrow USD 500-700mn in H2, finance minister Bolat Zhamishev has stated. He explained that it makes no sense to borrow less than USD 500mn because the rate would be bad then. Zhamishev gave no other details regarding the borrowing. However, the government said earlier that it planned to issue Eurobonds. This would be first issue for a decade. To remind you, Kazakh banks were actively borrowing before the financial crisis.
