Kazakhstan mulls buying 6 US military transport aircrafts.

Kazakh Ministry of Defence mulls purchasing 6 U.S. C-130J Hercules Tactical Transport Aicrafts, head of Kazakh Air Force Chief of Staff Nurlan Ormanbetov has stated. He explained that the number of purchased aircrafts depend on the offered price. He added that the U.S.A. offered Kazakhstan to purchase aircrafts built in 60s-70s with the cost per unit reaching USD 40-50mn after upgrading and customizing the planes. The official also explained the ,,the class of the C-130J aircraft is very important to the Kazakh army, including its load capacity to transport cargo, troops and military equipment. The C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft.
